From Pâté to Perimenopause – My Thermomix Love Story

I was reading a pâté recipe one quiet morning when I first stumbled across the mention of a Thermomix machine

The author described it so casually, like everyone had one. 

I didn’t even know what it was! 

A quick search told me it was a powerful kitchen appliance that seemed especially popular in Australia—and apparently, in many professional kitchens too.

And then, one Saturday morning, there it was again, this time in the hands of James Martin, casually whipping up a silky sauce on Saturday Kitchen using his Thermomix like it was no big deal. 

I couldn’t help but think… maybe it was a big deal?

Fast forward a few weeks, I’m standing in a friend’s kitchen just before Christmas, and guess what’s on her worktop? Yep, a Thermomix.
